We’re a small, independent bookstore nestled in the heart of downtown Chestertown. Since opening our doors in the fall of 2004, we’ve received accolades from the Comptroller of Maryland as a 2019 Cornerstone of the Community, been featured by What’s Up? Media, and ranked #24 on visitmaryland.org’s Favorite Shopping Spots list.

We’re also proud co-founders of the annual Kent County Poetry Festival—now thirteen years strong—and host various authors for annual events like Downrigging Weekend, National Music Festival, A Dickens of a Christmas, and Chestertown Wizarding Festival.
